Collection: Puzzle Night at Gilman Brewing 9/16/26

Wednesday, September 16, 2026 | 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Thank you so much to everyone who joined us for our latest Puzzle Night at Gilman Brewing!

We had an incredible turnout and a packed house, with a wonderful mix of casual puzzlers and fierce competitors bringing an electric energy to the room all night long.

For the speed puzzling competition this time around, our theme was The Great Canadian Outdoors featuring Villager Puzzles. Our Pairs competitors raced to complete the vibrant 250-piece "Road Trip," while our Teams took on the beautiful 500-piece "Rockies Explorer."

We were absolutely thrilled to feature Villager Puzzles for this event. Founded by a fellow "puzzle snob" and working mom out of Comox, BC, they partner exclusively with women artists from across Canada. Every design features original artwork (never AI-generated!), and the artists earn royalties from every puzzle sold. Beyond supporting a fantastic mission, the quality is just unmatched—they feature a premium matte finish that perfectly eliminates glare under venue lights, thick recycled blue paperboard, and stunning magnetic closure boxes. They are truly puzzling done right!

Everyone did exceptionally well on the speed puzzling front. In an amazing feat, every single pair and team finished their puzzle in under an hour! We have to give a massive, specific shoutout to the team Piece & Quiet, who crushed their 500-piece puzzle with an incredibly impressive winning time of 25:27!

Beyond the competition, it was great to see so many of you hanging out at the active community puzzling tables, diving into intense rounds of puzzle chess, and trading gems at the puzzle swap. We've included some photos of all the activities below!

Finally, a Special Thank You to all of our speed puzzlers who supported us with a test run of our new app last night. The test went exceptionally well with only a couple of minor snags, and we are looking forward to rolling it out for official use at future events soon.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support us by coming out to these events. Keep tagging us on social media—we love seeing your posts and sharing the puzzle love!
