Collection: Puzzle Night at Gilman Brewing 10/7/26

Wednesday, October 7, 2026 | 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

We had an incredible turnout and a packed house, with a wonderful mix of casual puzzlers and fierce competitors bringing an electric energy to the room all evening!

The theme for this month’s speed puzzling competition was "Cats Fishing." Our Pairs competitors took on the 275-piece "Koi Cat" by Cobble Hill, while our Teams tackled the 500-piece "Beyond the Surface" by Boardwalk Puzzle Company. Both of these puzzles proved to be quite challenging, with each relying heavily on a prominent theme color, but all Teams and Pairs stepped up to the plate and did a great job.

The highlight of the evening was the nail-biting finish in the Pairs division. First place went to never know with a blazing time of 32:07.2, but Fit Happens was right on their heels, finishing at 32:49.0. A mere 41.8 seconds separated our first and second place winners—an incredibly close race!

Outside of the speed competition, the vibe was fantastic. We had highly active community puzzling tables and a lively puzzle swap. Since we are officially in the autumn spirit, it was especially fun to break out the Halloween puzzles for our casual puzzlers to enjoy over a pint.

A massive thank you to Gilman Brewing for continuing to be such great hosts. Their space is the perfect backdrop for our puzzle community.

We look forward to being back at Gilman on October 21 for our special Halloween Puzzle Night. Costumes, candy, and creepy-crawly puzzles await—we hope to see you there!
