Puzzle Night at Gilman Brewing 10/21/26

We’re back at Gilman Brewing for a spine-tingling evening of industrial-chic vibes and interlocking pieces. Put on your favorite costume and join us for our Halloween Puzzle Night—it’s the perfect way to sharpen your brain and enjoy the best of West Berkeley’s craft beverage scene with a spooky twist.

The Fun: Ready, set, build! Our Speed Puzzling Competitions start at 6:30 PM with two divisions: Pairs (300 pieces) and Teams (500 pieces) tackling festive, Halloween-themed puzzles. Not feeling competitive? Enjoy our free community puzzle tables and the Puzzle Swap all night long. Costumes are highly encouraged!

The Fuel: Enjoy Gilman’s rotating selection of beers and wine alongside a full menu of hearty pub fare. Their spacious taproom makes for the ultimate puzzling atmosphere to pair your brews with a few boos.

Ages & Registration: This event is all ages. While the puzzle swap and community tables are free for everyone, you must register to secure your spot in the speed competitions.

Interested in speed puzzling, but need to find a team to join? Submit your registration as a "free agent" and we'll match you with another puzzler to form a pair!

To register, select the event you want to participate in. Purchase one registration per pair/team. Double check the Date, Location, Time and/or Piece Count. 

Cancellations must be received at least 48 hours before the event for a refund. If we are unable to sell your spot you will be responsible for the price of the puzzle. The puzzle will then be yours and you can pick it up at a future event. 

And don't forget to come up with an awesome name for your team! You'll tell us at check-in.
